peakpic Terms of Service

한국어 · Privacy Policy

Article 1 (Purpose)
These terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the mobile application peakpic (the "Service") provided by the peakpic team (the "Team"), and the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Team and of users.

Article 2 (Definitions)
1. "Service" means every feature the Team provides, including mirrored shooting that connects two devices in real time to share the camera view, shooting guided by pose guides, and management of what you shoot.
2. "User" means a person who uses the Service under these terms.
3. "Guest account" means an account created automatically from a device identifier without a separate sign-up procedure; "social account" means an account registered by linking an external account such as Kakao.

Article 3 (Effect and amendment of these terms)
1. These terms take effect by being posted on a screen of the Service.
2. The Team may amend these terms to the extent that doing so does not breach applicable law. Where they are amended, the Team will give notice stating the effective date and the reason for the change, from seven days before the effective date (thirty days before, where the change is unfavourable to users).

Article 4 (Accounts)
1. The Service creates a guest account automatically when it first runs, and a user may move to a social account by linking one.
2. An account may be used only by its holder, and may not be transferred or lent to a third party.
3. A user may delete their account at any time from the My page screen. On deletion, the account information stored on the server is destroyed without delay, except where applicable law imposes a duty to retain it.

Article 5 (Rights in what you shoot)
1. Rights in the content a user shoots through the Service, such as photographs, belong to that user.
2. What you shoot is stored only on your device, and is not stored on the Team's servers.
3. Where a user photographs another person, it is the user's responsibility to comply with the law on portrait rights and personal information, including obtaining that person's consent.

Article 6 (Provision and modification of the Service)
1. The Team aims to provide the Service year-round without interruption, but may suspend all or part of it temporarily for reasons such as system maintenance, failures or force majeure.
2. Mirrored shooting prefers a direct connection between users' devices (P2P), and depending on the network may pass through a relay server operated by the Team. The relay server only forwards video; it does not store it.
3. The AI analysis behind the pose guides runs on the user's device, and camera video is not sent to a server for the purpose of that analysis.

Article 7 (Users' obligations)
A user must not:
1. misappropriate another person's account or device identification information;
2. shoot or use material in a way that infringes another person's rights, such as portrait rights or copyright;
3. interfere with the normal operation of the Service (attacking servers, exploiting vulnerabilities, abnormal automated access and the like); or
4. act in breach of applicable law or public order and morals.

Article 8 (Paid services)
1. The Team may offer paid features (such as Pro) in future. The conditions, charges and refund terms for a paid service will be set out on the payment screen and in separate notices.
2. When a paid service is introduced, the Team will also provide the business information and the withdrawal-of-subscription and refund rules required by applicable law, including the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.

Article 9 (Restriction of use)
Where a user breaches Article 7, the Team may restrict their use of the Service or delete their account after giving prior notice. In urgent cases the Team may act first and give notice afterwards.

Article 10 (Limitation of liability)
1. The Team is not liable for damage arising from causes beyond its reasonable control, such as natural disaster or failures at a carrier or platform.
2. The Team is not liable for loss of what you shoot that is caused by the state of your device (insufficient storage, network quality and the like), absent wilful misconduct or gross negligence on the Team's part.
3. Disputes arising between users in the course of shooting are, as a rule, to be resolved between those users.

Article 11 (Dispute resolution and jurisdiction)
1. Enquiries and complaints about use of the Service may be submitted through Contact us on the My page screen.
2. These terms are construed under the laws of the Republic of Korea, and any action over a dispute is to be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.

Addendum
These terms apply from October 15, 2026.
